The Infant/Child Key is for use with the HeartStart FR3 when treating an infant or child who is under 55 lbs (25 kgs) or 8 years of age. When inserted into the HeartStart FR3, the Infant/Child Key automatically sends a signal to the unit which will reduce the defibrillation therapy to an appropriate level for children. The Philips FRx Infant/Child Key can be used over and over again without ever having to be replaced.
